Floßplatz 1, 04668 Grimma, Germany
The Eins Energie Muldental-Triathlon takes place in Grimma on the banks of the Mulde river and brings together multiple distances on a single, town-centred race weekend. The 2026 edition includes a Sparkassen Super‑Sprint, the Stadtwerke Grimma Sprint, an Olympische Distanz/Kurzdistanz and the Veolia Team‑Triathlon relay, and the event traditionally hosts a round of the 2. Triathlon Bundesliga Nord. Courses are spectator-friendly: calm river swimming in the Mulde staubereich, a closed urban cycling loop and running laps along the riverbank. Logistics are centred on Floßplatz for start, finish and transition.
The organiser publishes participant lists, transponder timing results and detailed rule documents (Ausschreibung, Begleitheft / Sport- & Wettkampfordnung) on the official site. The cycling circuit used for some distances is a closed ~6.68 km urban loop and running laps of ~5 km are used for longer distances. Registration details for the 2026 event: registration opened 17 August 2025, regular entries close 19 August 2026 at 12:00 and limited on-site entries / packet pick-up are possible on 22–23 August 2026. Online registration is handled via RaceResult.
Organisers Sportfreunde Neuseenland emphasise a family-friendly race village, community engagement and an inclusive policy to enable athletes with disabilities to participate. Safety and equipment rules are strictly enforced (for example mandatory helmets and a no-headphones rule while running). Competitors should check organiser communications for final briefings and any last-minute changes due to water or weather conditions.
