Eggelauf (Egge-Lauf) Meerhof is a long-established local road running event held in the Meerhof district of Marsberg. The programme for 2026 comprises multiple distances that suit competitive and recreational runners alike, including a half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km and a 5.3 km race, plus a set of children's races. The event is family-friendly and staged on a single afternoon, with children's races beginning earlier followed by the main races later in the afternoon.
The race is organised by BC 23 Meerhof e.V., first held in 1983, and forms part of regional competition cups including the Hochsauerländer Laufcup and the Hochstift-Cup. Registration is available online and in person, with a small pre-entry fee and a modest on-site fee for late entries, and official timing is provided by a professional timekeeper.
