The event known locally as "Osterlauf St. Peter-Ording 2026" (also listed as "SPO läuft") is a coastal community running event held in Sankt Peter-Ording, Schleswig-Holstein. It offers multiple distances for different abilities including a 500 m children's sprint, 5 km, 12 km and a half marathon (21.1 km), all chip-timed with a personalised transponder bib. The course runs across beach, dune and forest paths with scenic seaside and Deich sections and several official aid stations along the routes.
Online registration closes on 2026-03-22 or when the overall participant limit of 700 is reached, with late online entries available for an additional fee. Race bibs with integrated timing transponders are issued on Friday 03.04.2026 (11:00–16:00) at Dünen-Hus and again on race day from 11:00; participants must wear the assigned bib for results to be recorded. Changing facilities are provided at Dünen-Hus (showers are not available), results and certificates are published online after the race, and the event includes family-friendly features such as a dedicated children's run and a relaxed village atmosphere.
