Finish at Ballindamm, Hamburg city centre
The CURREX Alsterlauf Hamburg is a long‑running city road race held on a scenic loop around the Binnen‑ and Außenalster in central Hamburg. The event homepage invites runners to experience the traditional start and finish atmosphere in the city centre and emphasises a flat, traffic‑free course that finishes on Ballindamm. The race is promoted as one of Europes larger 10 km road races and combines urban scenery with a fast course suitable for competitive and recreational runners alike.
The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday 6 September 2026 and comprises multiple races on the same day, including the main 10 km, a 5 km R5K race, a 1 km Schülerlauf for children and a dedicated R5K youth category. Races start from the morning (first race from 09:00) with transponder timing, on‑course refreshment and a finish area in the heart of Hamburg. The event is organised by BMS Die Laufgesellschaft mbH and supports Aidshilfe Hamburg e.V. as a charity partner.
