The Cotswold Way Challenge is a multi-distance endurance event run as part of The Ultra Challenge Series, with Cirencester basecamp serving as the main start and finish hub. The event offers a mix of trail terrain through the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with route signing, regular rest stops and medical cover to support walkers, joggers and runners across multiple distances. Participants can enter solo or as teams and may register through a number of charity partner pages (for example Cancer Research UK, Mind, Alzheimer’s Society and others) that offer charity places and fundraising support.
The Cotswold Way Challenge features long-distance loop and point-to-point options including the full 100 km loop plus 75 km, 50 km, 25 km and 10 km choices, with optional overnighting at basecamp for multi-day itineraries. The organiser provides GPS tracking via the Challenge App, timed progress checks at rest stops, and finish-line recognition such as a finisher’s medal, T-shirt and post-event refreshments. A range of bookable extras—transfers, camping or accommodation and baggage/transfer services—are available on the official event pages.
