Prater Hauptallee, Höhe Stadionbadparkplatz, Wien
The Kinderlauf (part of the ASICS Österreichischer Frauenlauf weekend) is a child‑centred run held on Saturday 30 May 2026 on the Prater Hauptallee in Vienna. Races are age‑adapted and take place over short distances between about 200 m and 800 m depending on the child’s year of birth, with the youngest children permitted to be accompanied by a parent. The event is presented as a family festival with game stations, a bouncy castle and climbing tower, and a mascot called Gerri the Glücksmarienkäfer who supports children on the course. Every child receives a finisher medal and a finisher bag, and a special Kinderlauf T‑shirt is provided (powered by Erste Bank).
Practical arrangements include collection of start numbers on Saturday 30 May between 09:30 and 13:00 at the dedicated children’s start‑number tent near the Stadionbad entrance; start times vary by age group and are published by the organiser. There is no timekeeping and no on‑site late registration, and a winners’ ceremony is scheduled at the venue from 14:00 on the same day. The organisers expect a large turnout and promote the Kinderlauf as a playful introduction to running and a contribution to a healthy, active life for preschool and school‑age children.
