Canyon Run

Canyon Run is a community-focused multi‑distance running event held at the Sportgelände Dietesheim in Mühlheim am Main. The event offers a half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km, 5 km and children’s races (800 m and 400 m), with officially measured, predominantly flat courses that run through the Mühlheimer Steinbrüche and woodland. The organisers time races with transponder net timing (R.S.T. VOLKSLAUF GmbH), provide multiple aid stations and on‑site facilities, and offer professional race photography by Ingo Kutsche. The race village includes merchandise sales, catering for spectators and changing/shower facilities at the sports complex.

The event places strong community emphasis: organisers donate at least €1 per starter to local welfare organisations and run special team classifications for fastest corporate teams and fastest clubs. Prize money is offered for the half marathon and 10 km (tiered cash prizes), while children’s races award medals and the 5 km offers in‑kind prizes. Practical participant details published by the organiser include bib collection from 08:00 on race day and on‑site late registration up to 30 minutes before each start (fee applies).
