The 70. Brienzerseelauf (Brienzerseelauf – Rund um den Brienzersee) is an annual running festival around Lake Brienz that combines scenic lakeside roads with festival hospitality. The two-day event on 10–11 October 2026 offers a range of races for adults and children, notably a Halbmarathon, relay (Staffel), the 10 km Abendlauf and a programme of youth races including the Pfüderirennen. The organiser highlights boat transfers for some race starts, chip timing by Datasport and a strong local ambience with food and refreshment stalls.
Participants benefit from the Swiss Runners Ticket (free 2nd-class public transport to and from the event) and organised transport for half-marathon and relay starts via scheduled ships from Interlaken Ost and Bönigen. The event is run by OK Brienzerseelauf / TV Bönigen and marks its 70th edition in 2026, retaining traditions such as finisher recognition, age-category prizes and a family-friendly festival atmosphere. Practical services on the official information pages include chip timing, aid stations, on-site packet collection and an organiser-run luggage/transport workflow for race starts and transfers.
