Belchen³ – ultra-distance road cycling marathon (trinational)

Belchen hoch3 is a trinational ultra-distance road cycling challenge curated by HIRSCH‑SPRUNG, linking the three iconic “Belchen” summits across Germany, Switzerland and France in a single grand tour. Riders set out from Münstertal before dawn to scale the German Belchen, the Swiss Belchenflue (Bölchen) and the French Grand Ballon, traversing varied terrain from quiet climbs to rolling plains. The event offers both an organised Event Termin with on-course support and a flexible self-supported option validated via the HIRSCH‑SPRUNG Rallye App. Finishers who complete all checkpoints earn the exclusive Belchen³ medal, a hallmark of the experience’s cross-border spirit.

Participants can choose from three route formats to match ambition: Belchen hoch 1, Belchen hoch 2, and Belchen hoch 3 – Der Klassiker. The organised Event Termin features motivating feedzones, optional live GPS tracking, and a warm community atmosphere at the finish, celebrating the so‑called “Belchengeist”. The self-supported package provides GPX tracks and the Rallye App, with a generous window each year to collect summit check‑ins. Recognised with a trinational sports award, the event blends endurance, scenic mountain roads and camaraderie into a distinctive Black Forest–Vosges adventure.
