Baroko Marathon

The Barokomaraton is an annual trail running festival held in and around Plasy in the Střela River valley. The race day centres on the Velká louka start/finish area and runs through forest and meadow trails in territory managed by Lesy České republiky. The event (Barokomaraton) is presented as inclusive for serious competitors and recreational runners alike and highlights a friendly, autumnal atmosphere with cultural programme elements, entertainment for children and local food and drink.

The weekend offers multiple distances on the same day, from the Baroko VSK Profi ultra 100 km down to the 4.2 km and children’s races, with organised aid stations and on-course refreshments. Entries include a commemorative medal, chip timing and race number, and the propozice notes on-site facilities such as cloakrooms, guarded bag drop and showers near the venue. An expo is run at Velká louka and results/award ceremonies are scheduled on race day, with time limits and attendance windows published in the official proposition.
