Prater Hauptallee, Höhe Marathonweg / Stadionbadparkplatz, 1020 Vienna, Austria
The Babenbergerlauf (officially presented as the Babenbergerlauf des LCC-Wien) is a single-day road running meeting held on the Prater Hauptallee in Vienna. The programme on 26 August 2026 comprises multiple mass-participation distances — 20 km, 10 km, 5 km, a 5 km walk and a series of children's races — with chip timing provided by Pentek Timing. The event is organised by LCC Wien and caters to all levels, offering separate starts for walkers and a dedicated kids' programme where every child receives a medal and a starter bag.
Races start in the late afternoon and early evening to favour cooler conditions along the park avenue, with prize-givings for children's races and the main events and a Zielschluss (final finish time) at 21:00. Online registration closes in advance with specified late-registration windows and race-day bib collection options; timing requires a yellow or rented green chip. The course uses the Prater Hauptallee as start and finish and live results and post-event reports are published via Pentek Timing and the organiser's website.
