The event known on the organiser site as (B)ROCKEN is a charity long‑distance cycling star ride rather than a race. The (B)Rocken‑Benefiz‑Sternfahrt brings riders together in a closed peloton with departures from multiple cities and a shared finish in the Brocken/Harz region. Participants are asked to self‑assess their fitness as the ride covers long distances (roughly 200–250 kilometres depending on start city) over rolling terrain at a steady group pace.
The organiser, HALLZiG EXPRESS, provides an all‑round support package including a Besenwagen for luggage and catering and a motorcycle escort (noted for the Leipzig start). There is a luggage drop facility at the start, a sweep/support vehicle travelling with the field, and the supporting motorcycle escort squad MBSM e.V. ensures field security. Optional pre‑event accommodation is available at Jugendherberge Wernigerode with a grill party and Sunday breakfast, and practical registration details and exact fees are supplied by email after signing up.
