The ATW Bristol Triathlon is a closed-road, non-drafting event set around Bristol Harbour, offering a striking urban backdrop and smooth logistics for race day. Athletes begin with a swim in the Cumberland Basin before riding along the traffic-free Portway beneath the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, and finishing with a scenic run alongside the River Avon. The course is well marked with supportive marshals to guide participants, creating a confident experience for both first-timers and seasoned triathletes.
Participants can choose from Sprint and Standard distances, with Aquabike options for both, plus a Standard-distance relay. The event focuses on a safe and streamlined race environment with mass-start waves progressing through the morning from 07:00. Finish-line snacks and goodies await, alongside a custom-designed medal to celebrate achievement in one of the UK’s vibrant city race settings.
