Apfelstädter Night Run / Midnight Run

The Nachtlauf / Mitternachtslauf is a two-part night running event held in Apfelstädt on 22–23 May 2026, organised by the local club Schützenverein Apfelstädt e.V. 1994. The event uses a 1.75 km loop around the Schützenhaus Apfelstädt that is approximately 50% trail (Wanderweg) and 50% asphalt, and it offers two options: the Mitternachtslauf (midnight run) and the longer Nachtlauf (night run). Wearing a headlamp is mandatory for participants, reflecting the event's overnight format and low-light course conditions. The organiser requests that participants are insured and includes a liability waiver and consent for publication of photos and videos made at the event.

Both races have a 20:00 start on 22 May with the Mitternachtslauf scheduled to finish at midnight and the Nachtlauf running into the early morning with a scheduled finish at 06:00 on 23 May; exact wave or lap schedules are provided on the event pages. The event provides a medal for participants and substantial catering (breakfast and refreshments after the Nachtlauf), and there are showers and a prize-giving after the night run. Registration is handled via the event site and is valid upon receipt of the participant fee; payment instructions (bank transfer to Schützenverein Apfelstädt e.V. 1994 with the subject "Nachtlauf 2026") and fee deadlines are shown on the organiser pages.
