AJ Bell Great South Run

The AJ Bell Great South Run is Portsmouth’s well‑known 10‑mile road race, presented as a flat, fast seafront course designed for personal bests and accessible running. The event branding for 2026 invites runners to “Be Your Greatest in 2026” and promotes a festival atmosphere with sea views along much of the route. The race starts on the north end of Avenue De Caen and is positioned as both a competitive opportunity and a popular mass‑participation fixture for club runners, charity fundraisers and first‑time distance entrants.

Event inclusions emphasise finisher benefits and supporter features: finishers receive a medal, an exclusive finisher’s T‑shirt (optional), a finisher’s bag with goodies, and official event day photos, while live tracking and results are provided via the Great Run app. The event also supports extensive charity fundraising partnerships and offers wave starts allocated by estimated finish time, with clear guidance on moving to slower waves but not to faster ones.
