Advent Run 2026

The Adventslauf 2026 (Adventslauf – Rund um die Koppe) is the annual community road and forest run held in Melsungen, traditionally staged in early December. The long-running series dates back to 1970 and attracts club runners, families and youth competitors to the Melsunger Stadtwald. The 2026 edition is planned for the second Advent (6 December 2026) and is presented by the Lauftreff der Melsunger Turngemeinde 1861 e.V. as a local highlight in the winter running calendar.

The event centres on a 5 km loop around the Koppe through Melsunger Stadtwald, with a 10 km option run as two laps of the same circuit and shorter 1.2 km and 1.6 km races for children and young athletes. GPX files for the 5 km and 10 km courses are provided by the organiser and past editions include start lists, result PDFs and event photos. Adventslauf also serves as a Wertungslauf for the Schwalm‑Eder‑Laufcup (SELC), and entrants are advised to consult the organiser's edition page for final start times, registration details and additional logistical information.
