The Aare Lauf / Aare Trail (Aare Lauf & Aare Trail) is a combined road and trail running event centred on Aarau in the canton of Aargau, Switzerland. It offers a choice of flat riverside courses along the Aare as well as more demanding routes on the Jura Höhenweg, with distances ranging from 10 km up to 50 km to suit beginners and experienced trail runners alike. The races take place mainly on a point-to-point routing from Brugg or Auenstein into Aarau and showcase scenic riverbanks, woodland paths and expansive views across the region.
The event on 14 June 2026 features road races, a half marathon with an optional two-person relay, dedicated Nordic walking, and two trail distances that reach higher terrain on the Jura Höhenweg. It is part of the Wasserschloss Trophy series and promotes community involvement through volunteer programmes and a "Bring a Helper" initiative, while retaining a welcoming festival atmosphere across the day. Participants and spectators benefit from a well‑publicised regional route that links multiple municipalities and highlights the Aargau landscape.
