This isn't just any event; it's a chance to carry the legacy of our heroes as you walk or run around the museum in a somber salute. Write a heartfelt "note from home" to lift the spirits of a soldier currently serving overseas. It doesn't matter how fast or how far you go, what matters is who you are carrying in your heart. #CarryTheLoad On May 24, our schedule is packed with emotion and tribute, starting with an 8am welcome, leading into a respectful acknowledgment of service during which we’ll hear the Color Guard, Pledge of Allegiance, and an inspirational Veteran’s Address. We march into the walk at 8:30 A.M., and we'll close with the profound traditions of TAPS and a 21 gun salute, reminding us all of the cost of freedom. Veteran support services will be available throughout the morning for education and assistance.
