The 9 Locks 10K Challenge is a scenic, point-to-point run tracing the historic canal from Stourbridge to Brierley Hill. Runners experience a blend of leafy towpaths and industrial character, culminating in the renowned nine-lock climb near the finish. This edition offers a unique finisher medal and an inviting community atmosphere that suits a wide range of abilities. With a straightforward 10 km distance and a memorable finale, it is designed to be both achievable and rewarding.
Logistics are intentionally simple, with on-the-day registration at The Bonded Warehouse and flexible, seeded starts that allow participants to feed through the start area. Free coach transfers from the finish area to the start are included, helping to keep travel stress low. A bag drop is available, and there is a water station at the halfway point to support your effort. Parking is available at the Waterfront, making arrival and departure convenient for participants and supporters alike.
