The 8. ADAC-Tine-Flugplatzlauf is a family-friendly running event held on the grounds of Flugplatz Husum, offering a distinctive airfield atmosphere that sets it apart from typical road races. The event features four distances — a free 500 m Kids-Lauf, a 2 km Schnupperlauf, and officially measured 5 km and 10 km courses — with the 5 km and 10 km timed using ankle transponders. The organisers, Spezialpionierregiment 164 together with Automobilclub Nordfriesland e. V., promote broad participation while directing part of the entry fees to Soldatenhilfswerk and the project "Kein Kind ohne Sport".
Practical arrangements are managed via an online RaceResult registration page and the organiser's site, with registration closing in early June; start numbers are collected on event day from 08:00. The 5 km and 10 km provide official, kilometre‑marked start‑to‑finish courses suitable for results and awards, while the shorter 500 m and 2 km runs use looped formats ideal for families and newcomers. Participants should note security and access requirements for the Bundeswehr site and consult the organiser for the latest instructions before arrival.
