The 5. Wein-Berg-Lauf Neckenmarkt is a one-day running meeting taking place on 30 May 2026 that brings together family and competitive runners in the vineyards around Neckenmarkt. The event name in German, "5. Wein-Berg-Lauf", highlights the wine-growing setting and the uphill character of the main race. The programme combines a headline 10 km Berglauf with shorter cross-country races and a children's run, so there are options for a wide range of ages and abilities. Local hospitality and post-race refreshments form an integral part of the race day experience.
The main Berglauf is a roughly 10 km uphill course over mixed asphalt, field and vineyard tracks with about 300 metres of ascent and a new finisher medal for 2026. Berglauf participants receive a bottle of Neckenmarkter red wine (or non‑alcoholic grape juice) and a communal runners' buffet is provided after the races. The event is held under the Buckltour umbrella and counts towards regional mountain-running championships and the Austrian mountain running cup, with prizes for top hill performers. Route maps, GPX files and detailed registration information are published on the organiser's official pages.
