The LOWA Ultratrail Fränkische Schweiz (UTFS) is a single-day trail running festival in and around Ebermannstadt, Franconian Switzerland, with the 2026 edition scheduled for 25 April 2026. For 2026 the event is also announced as the host for the German Championships, giving the race increased competitive significance. Routes include a demanding Ultratrail (66 km) and a shorter Speedtrail alongside youth and children’s events; course information and GPX files are published on the official site for competitor planning.
The weekend centres on a start and finish at the Marktplatz in Ebermannstadt and features substantial vertical gain on technical terrain, organised aid stations, a race village with catering and a pasta party for participants, and prize ceremonies. The event is organised by the local UTFS/Ultratrailrunning community with strong regional support and brand partners (including LOWA).
