5k the AMG Way

Register for AMG Fitness Foundation's adaptive, virtual 5k designed for people of ALL abilities!!

From Thursday, April 21st, through Sunday, May 4th, complete any of AMG's three virtual activities — a series of adaptive exercises designed by AMG, a 1-mile walk/push, or a 5k — at your pace. Make sure to complete whatever activity you choose by the end of the day on May 4th to be eligible to enter the raffle! Each activity will have a winner, so bring your A-game! Since this event is in-person AND virtual, registrants can participate from anywhere, anytime during the weeklong race period. We encourage you to spread the word to your friends and family, create a local team, and share the event on social media using #5ktheAMGway or by tagging @5ktheAMGway. We can't wait to see how you do the AMG 5k your way!

The last two years of this event were a smashing success! We had over 200 participants from coast to coast and raised over $15k! We hope to grow bigger and better this year.

If you are in the Washington, DC, area, join the AMG Community at Jennie Dean Park (3630 27th St S, Arlington, VA 22206) on May 3rd at 9:00 a.m. to complete any of the three in-person races! You can run or walk the 5k, walk or push the mile, or do the adaptive workout. Bring your A-game, as there will be more opportunities to win prizes donated by local vendors.

All proceeds from the event benefit AMG Fitness Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded by U.S. Paralympian and accessibility advocate Alyssa Gialamas. AMG Fitness elevates fitness resources for people with physical disabilities. Your support helps AMG film and share new adaptive workout videos, provides fitness equipment kits for AMG participants to safely work out at home, and offsets our marketing and advertising costs.
