The 56. AOK-Strassenlauf (56th AOK Street Run) is a single-day road running event organised by Turngemeinde Viktoria Augsburg 1897 e.V. and held at Sportanlage Süd with routes through the Augsburger Siebentischwald. The event features officially measured 5 km and 10 km courses that are flat, wind‑protected and run entirely on paved roads, meeting DLV measurement standards suitable for record lists. Race-day services include chip timing embedded in the race bib, marked kilometres, on-course refreshments and a finish-area with food and drink supplied by local partners. The event is sponsored by AOK Bayern and emphasises local community support and environmental awareness through the option of wooden eco‑medals.
Competition categories cover individual and team classifications plus district and regional championship listings (Kreismeisterschaft 10 km and Schwäbische Meisterschaft 5 km) and there is a Flitzi children’s run (~400 m) with a wooden medal for early registrants. Practical logistics for participants include bib pickup on the day and the day before, showers and changing rooms at Sportanlage Süd, free parking nearby at SIGMA Technopark and good public transport access via tram line 2. Entry is by online registration (payment by bank transfer to the organiser’s account) or on-site until shortly before the race, and prize ceremonies and cash awards are scheduled after each race. Participants and spectators are asked to respect the nature reserve and groundwater protection area while using the forested course.
