The 42. Schwanberglauf is an annual charity running event held on 17 July 2026 following the traditional point-to-point Iphofen–Castell route. Presented by the SBL‑Team (Schwanberglauf-Team), the race is a long‑running local tradition that combines challenging hill sections and mixed road/trail terrain with community spirit and festive social activities. Registration and official results are published via the organiser’s channels and the event promotes itself as "Das Original" — a historic local occasion to run for a good cause.
The race is held in the evening with a listed start time of 18:30 and uses a scenic course through vineyards and woodland, finishing in the Schlosspark Castell. The finish area is described as having a wine‑festival atmosphere: the fastest competitors are honoured, every finisher receives a celebratory finisher Schoppen, and surpluses are donated to local organisations including Klinik Kitzinger Land and Lebenshilfe. The event is volunteer‑run by the SBL‑Team and maintains active community engagement through news posts, training runs and social channels.
