Bever-Talsperre (swim start) — DLRG Wachstation, Hückeswagen
The 41. ATV Triathlon ("41. ATV Triathlon") is a long-running triathlon event staged by ATV Hückeswagen 1850 e.V. in the Naturpark Bergisches Land. The organiser markets the race as one of Germany's earliest triathlon events, promoting a historic atmosphere and experienced race direction at the Bever-Talsperre reservoir. The venue combines open-water swimming with scenic forest and field cycling sections for a distinctive regional race experience.
The event on 21 June 2026 offers multiple formats including the Kurzdistanz (1.5 km swim / 36 km bike / 10 km run), the Volksdistanz (0.5 km swim / 18 km bike / 5 km run) and a Quadrathlon variant run in parallel on the same day. The swim takes place in the Bever-Talsperre (open water) with the event base at the DLRG Hückeswagen Wachstation, while the bike and run courses use roads and trails through the Bergisches Land with an initial downhill run section and flatter loops thereafter. Relay entries are available for the Kurzdistanz and the event pages link to practical resources such as course maps, travel/parking information and past results.
