The 40. Wörthsee‑Triathlon is a long‑running, community‑centred triathlon held at Wörthsee in Bavaria; the 2026 edition is presented as the event's 40th anniversary. The race hub is at Rathausvorplatz / Seestraße 20 (Ortsteil Steinebach) and the venue features a scenic lake swim with alpine views visible from parts of the bike route. The 2026 edition introduces a revised cycling circuit via Herrsching, Rausch and Breitbrunn.
The event day offers two main formats — Olympische Distanz and Volksdistanz — each permitting individual and relay entries. Competition is governed by DTU rules; detailed age, licence and time‑limit regulations, start groups and other race rules are published in the Ausschreibung and on the official website. Services on race day include transponder (race chip) timing with online results, professional photography, aid stations on the run, showers/changing facilities, and limited parking with good public-transport options. Prize money is awarded to overall winners of the Olympic distance and medals are presented for age-group podiums and relays. Registration opens 1 March 2026 and closes 28 June 2026; competitors must collect race packs at the Rathaus and follow onsite safety rules and cut-off times for each discipline.
