The 40th Wizz Air Venicemarathon (commonly called Venicemarathon) is an annual international road running event centred on the Venice–Mestre area that culminates with a dramatic finish on the waterfront in Venice. The event brings together multiple distances under one brand, with the full marathon starting on the mainland and shorter distances starting in Mestre before converging on the Riva Sette Martiri finish area. The organiser, Venicemarathon S.S.D. a r.l., publishes dedicated pages for each distance as well as registration, results and athlete information on the official site.
The race is best known for its scenic course that begins along the Riviera del Brenta and crosses the Ponte della Libertà into the historic city, offering a mix of riverine, suburban and lagoon-front running. The 2026 edition, branded with primary sponsor Wizz Air, is scheduled for 25 October 2026 and features an Expo Village in San Giuliano Park, shuttle services and participant facilities for bib collection and bag drop. Runners can choose from the marathon, half marathon, 10K and family event, with separate race pages providing course maps, logistical details and the official race rules.
