The 40. Hardtwaldlauf am 28.06.2026 is an established local running event organised by LSG Karlsruhe at the MTV Karlsruhe grounds. It offers flat, bestenlisten‑eligible 5 km and 10 km courses with every kilometre marked, plus children's runs over 400 m and 800 m. The courses are described as flat and suitable for fast times, making the race attractive to competitive and recreational runners alike. This edition marks the 40th running of the Hardtwaldlauf.
Racing on 28 June 2026 starts from the MTV site with planned mass‑starts at 09:00 (5 km), 10:00 (10 km) and children's races from 11:30, and start number collection opens from 07:30 in the Tennishalle. Timing is provided by the Race Result Passive system using disposable transponders on bibs and certificates are available to download after the race. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in the 5 km and 10 km with age‑group certificates and youth prizes; some operational details are listed as "to be announced" on the organiser page.
