The 39. INT. OBERRIEDER TOTE MANN BERGLAUF is a traditional mountain running event organised by PTSV Jahn Freiburg e.V., Leichtathletikabteilung and staged from the Goldberghalle in Oberried. The race is a counting event for the Schwarzwald-Berglaufpokal 2026 and features a certified uphill course that climbs to the Tote Mann, offering extensive views over the Dreisamtal and surrounding peaks. Event facilities including registration, changing and catering are centred at the Goldberghalle, with on-site prize-giving after the race.
The main Berglauf is described as 10.9 km with approximately 750 metres of ascent and the children’s Oberried Kinderlauf offers age-group distances of about 0.4–1.2 km. Online registration closes on 22 July 2026 at 23:59 with on-site late entries available in the Goldberghalle on race day up to 30 minutes before the relevant start; a post-race bus transfer from Stollenbacher Hütte back to Oberried is scheduled from about 11:40. The official race information shows a timing discrepancy for the main start (10:00 in the race notes vs 11:00 in the Termine listing); the organisers’ site should be checked for any final confirmation of the exact start time.
