The 35. int. HALBMARATHON in Altötting is an established international half marathon held in Altötting, Bavaria, with the 2026 edition scheduled for 20 September. The race is promoted as one of Germany’s fastest natural-surface half marathons and the course is largely flat and wind‑protected, with around 80% of the route on firm forest paths through the Altöttinger Forst. The event carries a five‑star European Athletics award and offers pacemakers for a range of finish targets, making it attractive for time‑focused runners and fast recreational athletes alike.
Race day logistics are organised around a single Sunday start, with bib collection on the preceding Saturday and from early morning on race day; the official start is at the Kreuzung Burghauser Str./Traunsteiner Str. and the finish is at the Weiß‑Ferdl‑Schule forecourt. Participants receive chip timing integrated into the bib, a finisher medal on crossing the line, a participant gift (rucksack), online finisher certificate and clip, and support on course including five refreshment stations and guarded clothing storage. Additional services include free childcare with prior registration, changing rooms and showers, on‑course music and entertainment, and prompt publication of official results after the race.
