Burg, Lübbenau, Straupitz and Goyatz, Spreewald, Brandenburg, Germany
The 24. Spreewald‑Marathon is a four‑day multi‑discipline festival held across Burg, Lübbenau, Straupitz and Goyatz in the Spreewald biosphere reserve from 16 to 19 April 2026. The programme spans running, inline skating, cycling, canoeing (paddling), stand‑up paddling, Run & Bike, walking and hiking, plus popular night runs, boat trips, family activities and a lively festival village with regional food, live music and evening entertainment. Full route maps, GPX/KML downloads, per‑race schedules, starter lists, pickup times and a dedicated registration portal are published by the organiser; participants should consult the organiser pages and the registration portal for final start times, entry rules and route files before travel.
The festival blends competition and community culture with distinctive cast‑iron “Gurken” medals (including special‑edition colours) and new 2026 paddling "Kahn"/boat awards. The organiser offers merchandise, organised food and drink services on site, professional photography and participant memorabilia. The 2026 programme includes a wide range of distances and sports, family and children's races, mapped GPX/KML downloads and downloadable route files, and official timing/results via the Lausitz‑Timing portal. Key policies: headphones are banned on all routes, dogs are not allowed in start/finish/registration areas or on course, and on‑site category changes are not possible during the event weekend (changes are only possible online before the registration deadline). Start numbers must be collected at the town where the booked distance starts (early collection options are published); organisers advise arriving ~2.5–3 hours before your race to avoid queues. Overall winners receive exclusive trophies and there are age‑group awards in select disciplines.
