Event Overview
With support from the Virginia State Parks and the US Army Corps of Engineers we are excited to bring back the Adrenaline Rush in 2025 to this awesome gem of land located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. One of the original and largest state parks in Virginia, Fairy Stone has miles of great trails, undulating topography, and access to one of the largest undeveloped lakes in the state, Lake Philpott. With 100 miles of remote shore line, numerous recreation areas, old growth woods, and just enough elevation gain and loss to make things interesting but not silly hard, it has adventure written all over it. With the addition of packrafting for the paddling and the ability to move over land with boats, the options and route choices for course design are exciting! Don’t worry there will still be some mountain biking in the race, but overall the course will be heavy on trekking, paddling and navigation. This will be a brand new course design from the 2022 race, and the course will be big on ADVENTURE. While you can expect some terrain to be familiar, there will be plenty of new land covered that we did not explore in 2022. As standard for our races, the team with the most checkpoints in the fastest time, wins. Strategy and using the best boat/gear set up will be key. All checkpoints will be optional and all TA’s mandatory. Teams will have the option of doing as much of the course as they feel comfortable doing within their skill level, to ensure they get to the finish line on time. With that said this course is not designed with the beginner in mind. It will be challenging, but a lot of fun! If you are looking at taking this on as your first 24 hour race, or one of your first races in general, we encourage you to contact us with any questions.

Registration fee is $270. Price increases after February 23, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST.
