The 23. Zwentendorfer Donaulauf 2026 is a community running event organised by Marktgemeinde Zwentendorf a. d. Donau and takes place on 19 September 2026 at Donauhof Zwentendorf (Pappelallee 1). The programme includes a family set of races from a 200 m knirpsenlauf through multiple children's categories to a 5,286 m Volkslauf, a 10,572 m Hauptlauf, a team relay (Staffellauf) and a Nordic walking option. The course is a flat circuit along the Danube cycle path and through Zwentendorf's town centre, suitable for fast times and participants of all ages. The organiser confirms the event will proceed as planned.
Entries are accepted online via the PENTEK payment portal and on‑site late entries (Nachnennungen) are permitted up to 30 minutes before each start; PENTEK timing with Green‑Chip is used for official timing and a Green leihchip rental is available for the Hauptlauf. Top finishers in the Hauptlauf and Volkslauf receive certificates and medals and special prizes are awarded in several classifications; children's runs are free and children receive certificates. Bib and chip pickup is at Donauhof Zwentendorf from 12:00 until 30 minutes before each start and a photo gallery and past results are published via the event pages and the timing provider. Practical details such as chip types, hook‑and‑loop straps for sale and voluntary chip return are published on the event pages.
