18th Bickendorfer Büdchenlauf

The 18. Bickendorfer Büdchenlauf is a community running festival held in the Köln‑Bickendorf neighbourhood on 27 September 2026. The event, presented under the original name "Bickendorfer Büdchenlauf", offers a compact programme of family‑focused races from a 0.5 km Bambinilauf through age‑group Schülerläufe to a 10 km Hauptlauf, plus a dog‑friendly 6‑Pfoten run and dedicated walking and team events. Organisers emphasise a local, neighbourhood atmosphere with categories for children, youths, adults and veterans and age‑group awards for multiple distances.

The course is a DLV‑measured 2.5 km loop through Köln‑Bickendorf and Rochuspark, noted for being flat and favourable to fast times. Practical arrangements include on‑site bib pickup on race day and pre‑event bib collection the day before, transponder timing included in the bib, a practice run available the evening before, and a parking area at the Volksbank KölnBonn lot. Volunteer and sponsor support, scheduled prize ceremonies and online registration are available for the 18th edition.

The programme spans multiple distances (0.5 km Bambini, 2.5 km youth races, 5 km events, a team relay and a 10 km main race) and includes walking and Nordic‑walking options. The event also features a dog‑friendly 6‑Pfoten‑Lauf (leash required; dogs must have liability insurance and valid rabies vaccination). Children in the Bambini category receive a medal and a complimentary kids’ shirt. Race timing is by transponder in the race number; packet collection, parking and basic race‑day services are provided.
