13th Ahrathon — The Experiential Marathon in the Ahr Valley

The 13. Ahrathon (13.06.2026) is a one-day, multi-distance running festival centred on Weingut Sonnenberg in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. The event combines road races from a 1.6 km Bambinilauf up to a full marathon with a strong local food-and-wine character: multiple refreshment stations provide water, isotonic drinks, fruit and energy bars, and several stations offer wine tastings supplied by local wineries. The start/finish and main festival hub is at Weingut Sonnenberg, with on-site services including bib pickup the day before and on race morning, bag storage and event photography.

The event emphasises a sociable, family-friendly atmosphere with a daytime family festival and an evening closing festival “Rock & Wein” (starts at 17:00). Competitive and non-competitive formats are offered — including a costume half-marathon and Nordic walking categories (timed and untimed) — and prizes and finisher medals are provided.
